A warm welcome from the Headteacher

At Oxhey Wood, we are committed to working in partnership with parents to ensure every child achieves their full potential, feels safe and happy at school, and develops a lifelong love of learning. Our school is underpinned by five core values: Community, Compassion, Creativity, Courage and Curiosity. These values are at the heart of everything we do and help us to nurture confident, caring and successful learners who are ready to make a positive contribution to the world around them.

We have high expectations of all members of our community, and this includes working together to ensure all children attend school regularly and arrive on time every day. We expect the very best from our children and support them every step of the way to achieve their goals. We are committed to helping every child develop the courage to try new things, the curiosity to explore and question, the creativity to think imaginatively, the compassion to care for others and a strong sense of community and belonging.

We are incredibly proud that our most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2026 recognised many of the strengths of our school. Inspectors highlighted the school's strong practice in a number of key areas, including inclusion, attendance and behaviour, and personal development and wellbeing. This reflects our commitment to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive both academically and personally.

We put every effort into ensuring our children become confident, considerate citizens and promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

We welcome parents' views and suggestions and are always happy to respond to questions and concerns. We rely on your support as it is through our strong partnership between home and school that your child will have the greatest opportunity to flourish and succeed.

As part of the Agora Learning Partnership, we are building a community of learners across the Trust where staff and children have opportunities to learn and grow together. We pride ourselves on treating every child as an individual, and our curriculum is carefully planned to support children in knowing more, remembering more and doing more, so that they have the greatest opportunity to thrive, progress and achieve.
