Year 1 Mother tongue day

Year 1 took part in Mother tongue day. We learnt where our families originate from and those countries flags.

1 DARWIN

We had Olivia's mummy come in and talk about Brazil. Lot's of families brought in different types of food for us to taste and Mrs Ferreire, with Olivia and Valentina's help taught us how to count in Portuguese and we learnt the animal names.

1 SHARMAN

Adhu's Mummy came to visit and told us all about their home country India. Reina's Mummy also visited and spoke to us about Albania. We were also sent lots of food from India, Sri Lanka and Albania. We enjoyed learning some new words from the children's home languages too!
